The Mexican Attorney General’s Office and the US Embassy in Mexico confirmed on the 7th that an official of the US Consulate in Guadalajara, Mexico’s second largest city, was assassinated on the 6th. Mexican and US officials said the victims were attacked in the parking lot of a shopping mall in Guadalajara that afternoon. Initial investigations revealed that this was a deliberate murder.
